The Creative Children’s Project has been in Santa Barbara for 50 years. Their mission is to inspire children by putting artists in schools, bringing the students to music concerts, dance and plays. Just imagine over those 50 years how many of those students were inspired to be a creative. Instead of taking art out of public schools they have been making sure that all students are exposed to some of the very best.
For 40 years they have put on Santa Barbara’s own Chalk Festival, I Madonnari. For 3 days you can watch incredibly talented artists on their knees creating stunning art that will wash away over the week. There is music, food and lots of activities that people come to from all over the country, adding to our cities economy.
The thing that I noticed is that no one knew that CCP put on the chalk festival because their brand was not connected to the event. I wanted to make sure that they were given the accolades and donations for all their hard work. After rebranding and creating 6 history panels, large entry and stage banners and brochures, people now got the whole picture.
Inspiring children to be creatives does even more than birthing inspiration for new musicians, artists, dancers and actors. It inspires people to think creatively about everything that they under take. This is how we create a future full of new inventions and possibilities.
